Golden Group beat DGP XI by 55 runs to enter the final of the Saransh Trophy Inter Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament on Saturday. Earlier, the team reached the semi-finals by defeating jal vidhyut. Batting first at Old Campion ground, Golden Group scored 177 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Team's Amber Hasan (41 off 22 balls) and Rizwan (36 off 16 balls) played unbeaten innings. Arbaaz Qureshi scored 28 runs.
Vipin Suste of DGP XI took 2 wickets for 38 runs. Shiva and Mushtaq got one success each. In reply, DGP XI was all out for 122 runs in 17.3 overs. Shubham Chauhan scored 28 and Manjit Thakur scored 23 runs. Madhur Seth of Golden Group took three wickets for 19 runs. While Rizwan, Arbaaz Qureshi and Usman Ali got two wickets each. In the match played on Friday night, jal vidhyut won the toss and decided to bat first.
The team was all out for 105 runs in 19 overs. For that Tejashwi Mishra contributed 26 off 24 balls, Gaurav Rajak 16 off 14 balls and Rahul and Vivek Pardeshi contributed 13 each. Golden Group bowler Salman took 13 wickets in four overs and Usman Ali took 4-4 wickets in four overs giving 16 runs. In reply, Golden Group easily won the match for the loss of three wickets in 10.4 overs.
Shammi played a stormy innings. He scored 42 runs in 20 balls with the help of four sixes and two fours. Apart from him, Nitesh Palia scored 23 runs in 18 balls with the help of 5 fours. Nishesh, Vivek and Ashish got one success each for jal vidhyut.
