Sensation prevailed at GRP ground area after a girl was found hanging from poles of cricket practice nets at GRP ground in the morning on Monday.
The police said that a girl in the age group 20-25 years was found hanging at around 8 am in the morning.
SHO GRP Bhopal Hemant Shrivastava said that the identity of the deceased is yet to be identified. The tattoo over the left hand of the deceased has been tried to remove using the same ink used for making tattoos.
The mobile phone has been recovered from the ground which is probably of the deceased. The body was around 6-8 hours old.
There were no visible marks of injuries over the body and no signs of struggle at the spot, he added.
The death is suspicious as the body was found hanging with a pole around 15 ft high and which makes is impossible to tie a noose at that height without any external support and then hang self.
The mobile phone obtained from the spot was damaged which made it difficult to obtain data and contact on any of the phone numbers.
Soon after the body was spotted by the players who reached the spot for practicing informed the police.
On the receipt of the information GRP Bhopal reached the spot and started investigation.
Police have not ascertained that the death was suicide or murder as the post mortem report is awaited.
Police said that the deceased was found wearing jacket of track suit and jeans. Nothing which could help in establishing her identity has been found.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by GRP Bhopal.
