Kolar police have booked a contractor for death of a six-year-old girl, caused due to his negligence. A case was registered on Thursday, girl drowned at 10 ft deep pit of lift at under construction building at Awantika Homes on April 18.
Police have registered case against contractor Manphool Meena who had employed Manohar and his 6-year-old Palak fell in pit of lift and drowned.Police said that the deceased was a resident along with her father used to live at the under construction building and he used to work as labourer.The deceased was playing and making idol from soil and when she required water she went with a rope and bucket and while trying to fetch water she fell and drowned.The incident occurred at around 9 in the morning and when the family found that the girl was not around they started to search for her and later found her drowned.During the search father found her slippers near the pit where she was found drowned,she was rushed to Kola PHC where she was declared dead.The police was informed and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
