A free dental check-up-cum-awareness camp was organized at Sarvdharm colony on Wednesday. The camp was organised under the joint collaboration of OSMO Foundation, Patistha and the dental surgeons of Ekdant dental clinic.
As many as 100 students and locals were examined in the camp. Apart from treatment, the students and locals were made aware about dental health and hygiene by the team of experts and doctors. OSMO Foundation provided free dental kits to all the participants during the camp. On behalf of OSMO Foundation Secretary Atul Pathak and Akshay Bajpai show their presence while from Pratistha…ek nayi pehal President Suraj Sharma and Arvind Mishra were present during the camp.
Dental Surgeon, Dr Swapnil Jaiswal, Dr. Bhupendra Mishra, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Dr. Sakshi Sharma, Dr. Heena Mishra, Dr. Meenu Tiwari and Dr. Prerna Jaiswal of Ekdant Dental Clinic examined people. Dr Jaiswal said that the modern eating habits are one of the biggest reasons for dental problems. “If we regularly visit our dentist and follow good eating habits we can avoid oral problems. But in modern hectic life we are least bothered about our oral care and that contributes to our oral problems”, he added. He also explained in detail the procedure and techniques of oral care. He briefed the gathering about techniques of brushing.
He also gave tips for keeping the teeth and gums in good shape. He said that most of the dental diseases can be prevented by simple practice of brushing twice daily with a soft bristle brush.
