The police have recovered Rs 38,000 cash, few sharp-edged weapons and an auto-rickshaw from their possession.

According to the police, Anil Singaar of Jhabua lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Nagar police regarding the robbery. The complainant claimed that while he was on his way to Mubarakpur tri-section, with his driver Maan Singh, in an auto-rickshaw, two passengers boarded the vehicle near Reliance petrol pump and robbed the victims of Rs 69,500 and two mobile phones at knife-point and fled the spot.

A watch list criminal  Gandhi Nagar police station, Irshad Kala, was nabbed on May 6 and around Rs 9,500 have been recovered from his possession. During the interrogation he confessed to the crime and informed about the other three miscreants — Irfan alias Pappu, Amir alias Heera and Faizan — who were nabbed on May 7.

Meanwhile, an auto rickshaw with Rs 12,000, Rs 8,000, Rs 8,500, Rs 8,500 cash and a sharp-edged weapon were recovered from Faizan, Amir and Irfan respectively.
