The cultural hub of the city Bharat Bhavan is organising a four-day event ‘Adhya’. The event will begin on April 13 and will continue till April 16.
Interestingly, the event is based on the creations of female achievers in art and culture and literature. The event is an amalgamation of various events altogether, from film screenings to musical performances all scintillating performances are set to woo the Bhopalites.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Bharat Bhavan Prem Shankar Shukla said, “This event Adhya is an endeavour to appreciate the works by female writers, directors and performers. We have brought the performers from different fields together to perform on a single stage.”
The event will begin from Thursday with the traditional start of the event by a renowned classical singer MitaPandit. later, the event will be followed with the melodious performance by a young classical singer Purva Sapre. After her performance Mita Pandit will perform on stage at 7 pm.
Notably, Mita Pandit belongs to Gwalior Gharana and has created a niche for herself in national and international events.
On Friday, the event will mark its second day. To begin with the second day, Sangeeta Goswami will give a musical performance.
The musical performance will be followed with the musical dance drama ‘Shakti Raag’. Shakti Raag is based on womanhood, her life, sacrifices and love. The dance drama is directed by Kalpana Jhokarkar.
On Saturday, movie ‘Rani laxmi Bai’ directed by Sohrab Modi will be screened. This will be followed with story recitation by female authors.
The event will have a grand closure with film screening of film ‘Mira’ directed by Gulzar. This will be followed with poetry recital by female poets.
