First shower brings back potholes on Mhow roads

PNS

While the rest of northern India welcomes the early arrival of monsoon, this rainy season is little different for Mhow localities. As usual difficulties are also pouring in with the regular problems of choked drains, garbage heaps at main roads and now the first shower of rain which had just started turned most of the roads in this town a road of potholes.

Almost all the roads connecting the town with other destinations, the ASP office Mhow and Mahatama Gandhi statue are in worse conditions. Water logged roads acts as a barrier for the commuters and results in the accident. Most of the newly constructed roads of the cantonment are in bad condition due to poor quality of construction material.

locals felt that Cantonment Board Mhow should put up a sign board along every road it has constructed and the cost of the road, maintenance period, technical details including the length-breadth and width should be mentioned on the board for the general public. They said it was the public money which the Cantonment Board Mhow has been utilising for all development and constructions work in cantonment area.

The residents felt that Central government should send a team of engineers to Mhow for inspection of the roads and other construction work which has been done in Mhow Cantonment Board in past three years.
