An externed criminal was nabbed by a joint team of Crime Branch and Shahjehanabad police on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off in a joint effort by Bhopal crime branch and Shahjehanabad police a person roaming suspiciously was detained and a copy of the orders of externtmentwas found from pockets ofhis pants.
The miscreant was identified as Yusuf Ali alias Sade Char Fitiya (31), a resident of Shahjehanabad area.
On March 27, 2014 ADM Bhopal had issued externment orders of the accused Yusuf after the offender was found involved in several crimes in the Shahjehanabad area along with different areas of the city.
Police said that the period of externment was going to end on September 29, 2014but the accused was found within the city limits before the due date which was in violation of the externment orders.
Whether the accused was planning any crime with other accomplices or he was in the city for some other purpose is not clear and the accused would be questioned regarding the same in the investigation. It would be investigated that the accused has committed any crime during the period of externment. The nabbed accused was booked earlier for more than three dozen crimes under different police station areas for attempt to murder, assault, extortion, illegal possession of weapons and has served prison. In the investigation the orders of the externment were found correct by Shahjehanabad police. Police have started action against the accused for
violating the externment.
