On the occasion of Diwali for catering the patients with Burns injury New Burns unit was inaugurated by Prof (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director. AIIMS Bhopal. On this occasion Prof (Dr.) Rajesh Malik (Dean Academic), Prof (Dr.) Manisha Shrivastava (Medical Suprintendent), Col. Dr. Ajit Kumar (Deputy Director), Dr Manal M Khan (HOD, Burns & Plastic Surgery) along with other Faculty members Dr Deepak Krishna, Dr Gaurav Chaturvedi, Dr Ved Prakash Rao Cheruvu, Dr. Rahul Dubepuria, Residents, nursing officers and other staff were present.
The unit will have ten beds consisting of 5 bedded ICU and 5 bedded HDU. Burn Unit is well equipped to manage all type of burn patients. The Burn victim can be brought to AIIMS Trauma and Emergency for their treatment.
Burns with severe degree may have deformity once their wound get healed. All types of burns related deformity/contractures are being regularly treated and corrected by Burns Department. AIIMS Bhopal is fully prepared to manage all type of trauma and emergencies during the festival time of DIWALI.
