BJP's strongman and former minister Gaurishankar Bisen has announced to contest the elections against the state Congress president and former CM Kamal Nath. A video of Bisen abusing the officers of the Transport Department had surfaced in Balaghat. After this, on Monday in Bhopal, Bisen apologised for the incident. Along with this, he also reacted to the statement of Kamal Nath, in which Nath said that he (Bisen) has had this nature, it reflects his thinking.
Talking to reporters at his residence in Bhopal, Bisen said - BJP's national and state leadership will take a unanimous decision and decide on his candidature. He said that he has contested assembly and Lok Sabha elections from Balaghat for 13 times and once his wife also contested.
Responding to Kamal Nath's statement, Bisen said- I respect Kamal Nath a lot, I am happy that when I had invited him on the 13th on the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, he came to my house and talked for one and a half hours.
Two days ago a video of Gauri Shankar Bisen went viral on social media in which he was seen abusing Balaghat RTO. Responding to Bisen's video, Kamal Nath had said that he has a temperament and it reflects his thinking. Gaurishankar Bisen apologised after creating ruckus over the behaviour with the RTO.
He further said “the words that I have used, such words never come in my nature. The harsh words that came out of me in those circumstances were not good words. I have publicly apologised for that, I am still apologising. I have apologised to ARTO, apologised to his junior. I kept my point in front of the Chief Minister. I apologise to the people of the whole country through the media”.
