Doctors and staff members at Kailashnath Katju Civil Hospital in the state capital face disciplinary action after they were found missing or reporting late for evening OPD duties on Saturday.
A salary deduction and show-cause notices have been issued.The surprise inspection conducted by Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Prabhakar Tiwari aimed to evaluate the hospital's evening medical arrangements. Several doctors were found absent or delayed.
Doctors including Gynaecologist Dr Shashi Kawade Paediatrician Dr Sujata Janwade and others were absent from their duties during the inspection. Immediate action has been taken against them.Dr Surabhi Kuhikar and Dr Pramod Patel were noted for being punctual and present at their assigned duties. The CMHO stressed the importance of strict adherence to hospital timings for effective patient care.
