Adarsh Shrivastava from Delhi has alleged that the Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) Hariranjan Rao has favoured one particular Contractor in the case of outsourcing contracts.

A complaint in this regard has been filed by Shrivastava at MP lokayukt and Economic Offence Wing (EOW).

Shrivastava while talking to media persons here on Sunday said that I demand that a case should be registered as per Indian Penal Code Act 420 and 120 B. He further said that every year contract employees are hired by Madhya Pradesh Tourism. As per the tender 1200 to 1500 contract employees with expertise in different areas are hired, he added.

He said this year the tender was floated in January. In the tender the conditions were manipulated in a manner to profit 17 agencies. Against this complaint was filed with the chairman of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) Tapan Bhowmik. At the last moment that tender process was cancelled. The second time the tender was floated in April, in which the technical and financial conditions were altered in such a manner that many agencies could not even fill the tender, he added.

Shrivastava said  that a private arrangement has been made between the directors of the present working agency and Rao.

As per this arrangement the technical terms and financial conditions of the tender has been manipulated, he added.

Shrivastava further alleged that in spite of complaints being filed at government level, no action has been taken against Rao.
