Engineer-turned artist Abhishek, hailing from Tikamgarh, has put up a solo exhibition of his art at Swaraj Art Gallery. The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday wooing the art lovers of the city.
Abhishek works on portraits and real life objects. Giving a definite texture, this young artist perfectly defines the expressions, emotions and feeling of joy, sorrow, loneliness, togetherness and much more through his portrayals.
Bringing the elements of art together, he gives a different texture to the background on the canvas. The result is an emotional body of work, both pleasing to the eye and mind.
His paintings titled ‘Devotees on the Steps of Faith’, ‘Krishna’ and ‘Buddha’ are an example of faith in the super power. With the colour strokes used by the artist, the paintings come to life as one take a slow walk-through the gallery.
Besides this, Abhishek has carved the portraits of AR Rehman, Amitabh Bacchan, Swami Vivekananda and Narendra Modi. The titanic look of Kate Winslet is among the best art work by Abhishek.
“I believe that art is the journey of a free soul,” says a young artist Abhishek Namdeo.
While talking about his works and love for art, Abhishek told The Pioneer, “I have been painting since childhood. Though I never thought what I will be when I grow up, I wanted to be an artist. I pursued engineering from NRI Institute of Technology and if my first exhibition gets a good response, I will pursue my career as an artist,” he added.
