The Aishbagh police has booked an employee of private firm for misappropriation of funds worth lakhs of rupees by depositing cheques of higher amount and providing lesser amount to the firm.
Police said that accused identified as Chandraprakash Sharma Sanjay was booked for fraudulently collecting more amount for services provided by the firm and providing less to the firm.
The victim Nitin Kumar Rai lodged complaint after he found that the victim has collected cheque of higher amount and provided lesser amount to him.
One of the customers told the victim that the accused had provided bill of Rs 6 lakh and collected cheque of Rs 7 lakh after which the victim checked and found that the victim used to provide bills to the customer of lesser amount and would collect cheque of higher amounts.
It was found that the victim would earn Rs 1 lakh on every transaction.
He would deposit cheque in duplicate account in the name of firm and provide Rs 1 lakh lesser to the firm.
The firm deals in installing lift in buildings.
The accused used to work from the year 2015 and deal in installing lifts in building.
A complaint was lodged with the Aishbagh police and in the investigation police found that the accused was involved in the fraud.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 420 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The number of customers which the accused targeted are yet to be ascertained as the accused is yet to be arrested.
