Three-day ‘Elite Karting 2017’ was inaugurated here at Go Kart Circuit of Ratibad on Thursday. As many as 1,500 students from different colleges are participating in it.
Organized by Elite Racing, a total of 168 teams of 16 States from all over country are participating in the event. In this national level kart racing students from approximately 137 technical institutes were taking part. In inaugural event, every student was advised to pay attention to all the rules and regulations of event.
The Elite Karting commenced with ‘Technical inspection round’, where experts inspected the karts of students and assured that all the karts participating in this national level event are following all the mandatory rules. Vehicle design, aesthetics, and safety measures were few of key judging points for experts.
Every team seemed ready to win from beginning. A unique excitement of event filled the environment with extreme competitive spirit. Each of them was eager to put up their best. On the first day of event, judges inspected the karts. All the karts had to go through a strict governing rule. Competing teams all over the country had to clear engine inspection, bumper and firewall check, as well as driving suit rating evaluation etc.
Each team was evaluated on the basis of Elite Karting rulebook and soft designs. Other than this, karts were also checked for the kart seating capacity and 208 cc engine parameters.
