Staff Reporter

The Eid was celebrated on Thursday in Madhya Pradesh with fervour and conviviality despite heavy monsoon rains across the State. Special Namaz or prayers were solemnized by Shahar Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadwi in State capital Bhopal at Eidgah.

Shahar Qazi while delivering sermon just before the special prayer called on the youth of the community to stop taking dowry.

“The atmosphere due to this evil of the society has brought huge change; birth of girl child is not welcome and is almost considered a curse. But this myth of the society could be changed by the youth. If they start refusing dowry than I am sure that in coming days birth of girl child would not remain a curse and instead it would be celebrated,” Nadwi said.

Nadwi further said that God has made you ‘Mard’ (male), so it is your responsibility to take care of the girl you bring home after marrying her. But what is seen nowadays that at the place of taking care of the wife the youths becomes beggar and started begging right from the day of marriage. Begging starts with demand of four wheel vehicle and it is seen that the scene has gone so worst that the air-conditioned is demanded and the parents of the girl are forced to pay its electricity expenses lifelong. These are not sign of Mard, so be Mard, earn on your own for you and your family comforts, he added.

After the special Namaz prayers for world peace and prosperity of country, state and Bhopal were made.

After that peoples hugged complimented each other and the celebrations of the Eid were started.
