Communist Party of India (Marxist) has alleged that the main opposition Congress and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are engaged in proxy fight in Madhya Pradesh and that the efforts for the formation of third front would continue.
CPI-M Central Committee Member and State secretary Badal Saroj in a statement here informed that a single day State committee meeting of the party was held here on Sunday in which the discussions were held over the political scenario of the State.
Saroj said that a proxy fight is on between the BJP and Congress in the State and both the major political forces of the State in order to divert the attention of the people from the real issues are engaged in fake fight. The recent assembly session of the state is a perfect example of this proxy war, he added.
He said that never before does this happen in the parliamentary history that despite being getting listed discussion over the no trust motion was not held in the house was dissolved sine dine.
This episode has once again exposed the BJP’s disobedience towards the democratic institutions besides the weakness of the Congress leadership and its leaderships’ political bankruptcy. The deputy leader of the Congress opposed the no trust motion and embraced BJP in the house, he added.
The CPI – M State executive meet discussed the efforts for co-ordination among the non congress and non BJP parties in the State and expressed happiness that an alliance of over half a dozen such parties has already been formed in the State. Negotiations are on with the Samajwadi Party and after the recent political developments efforts have been launched to include Janata Dal (U) also in this alliance.
The left party hoped that the leadership of the Gondwana parties would not fall in the trap of some leaders with wasted interests and would also join this alliance.
Saroj said that the third front that is shaping up in the State would fulfil the dreams of the people of the State and would provide a stable nom Congress and non BJP alternative.
