The students of the city would enhance their knowledge about science and its connection to everyday life and the society on World Science Day. The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal would observe the World Science Day on November 10 at its premises.
The Regional Science Centre would organise various educational activities that would inform the students about the importance of this day and also to learn about science facts in an unusual way.
While talking to The Pioneer, education officer of Regional Science Centre MM Rout said, “World Science Day is observed worldwide on November 10 every year. Regional Science Centre, Bhopal is going to observe the World Science Day during November 10 to November 12 2013. It would give a chance to the students to explore more about science and its unusual facts.” On November 10 a Science Slogan contest for all the students is being organised for which the registrations have already been started. On the same day, a ‘Science behind the Exhibit’ contest for students will be organised for students after the slogan contest.
While elaborating further about the activities to be held on November 10, Rout said that the science slogan topic is open, but only criteria is that the slogan should convey a message. Moreover, the slogan should also be related to science in some way or the other.
Besides, while telling about the Science behind the Exhibit, Rout said that there are various exhibitions being put up at the centre. There are demonstrative installations as well. The participant has to tell any science relation or fact behind each exhibition being displayed at the centre premises. This would be fun loving activity for the students as they would enjoy this mental activity a lot, Rout further added.
