A 26-year old driver was stabbed to death by unknown miscreant at Baghmughalia area under Baghsewania police station area on Monday.
Panic prevailed in the area after a man was found in an unconscious state at open ground in Baghmughalia area. Locals informed police and police team reached the spot and started investigation. The deceased was identified as Vimal Mehra of Pipaliya Pende Khan. He used to works as driver.
During the investigation, police found that in the evening on Sunday someone came to house and later accompanied with Vimal who later stabbed him to death. Police have found two deep wounds in the chest and glasses and liquor bottle which suggests that the killer was acquainted had drink with the deceased and later stabbed to death over some issue.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation. At the spot deceased was lying in a pool of blood while weapon used in the murder was not found from the spot. Signs of struggle were found but miscreants were more in number could not be ascertained.
Till the filing of the report the police were not able to trace the killers. Police told that the search for the miscreants has been intensified and call record details of the deceased would be investigated. The deceased used to work as driver with a professor who would be questioned in the further investigation.
