Dr Namitha Shaji resident in General Medicine department working under the guidance of Dr Abhishek Singhai, Dr V N Mishra & Dr Rajnish Joshi got third prize in National Best Evidence Based Research (NBER) competition held by Marrow. She received cash prize of 50000 INR.
She got selected after 3 rounds and out of 294 submissions from all over India. She presented her research on liver fibrosis in diabetes and metabolic syndrome patients. She explored use of simple biochemical tests in diagnosis of liver fibrosis.
This research will be helpful for screening of liver fibrosis in community as these tests are simple and economical.
Director AIIMS Bhopal Prof(Dr.) Ajai Singh Congratulated Dr. Namitha Shaji and appreciated the departments for encouraging the young doctors for participating in these competitions to bring laurels to the Institute.
