A 50-year-old man died after he was hit by a speeding vehicle near Durga temple under Ratibad police station area on Monday. According to the police a man was found injured near Raj hotel and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed by locals and on receipt of the information, a police team reached the spot and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem. Deceased was identified as Roopa Singh who used to work as domestic help at a retired police official’s house.
The car bearing registration number MP04-CE-0312 was seized by the police later in the investigation.
Police said that the post-mortem report is awaited and it is possible that the deceased was in an inebriated state at the time of the accident which resulted in the accident. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile a 50-year-old woman was found death near railway tracks at 11 mile bypass under Misrod police station area on Monday.
According to the police a woman in the age group of 45-50 years of age was found near the railway tracks. After the body was spotted by the locals police were informed and on the tip-off police team reached the spot and started investigation.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC.
During the investigation police were not able to establish the identity of the deceased and have started to find out the identity of the deceased.
