A duty doctor was assaulted and huge ruckus was created by relatives of patients at Sultania Hospital on Thursday after delay in the registration process of the treatment.
According to the police the victim doctor Govind Choudhary was abused and assaulted by the two accused Kalu and Raju, alias Naveen, who have gone with his sister Soni bai and her son for treatment. A complaint was lodged by the victim with Talaiya police and in the complaint the victim stated that at around 8 am when Soni Bai came for treatment along with her son she was provided with treatment and while registration of son’s treatment was made Soni’s brother Kalu and Naveen pressurised him to treat him at the earliest and later when the victim doctor asked them to take Soni’s son to Kamla Nehru hospital they started abusing. The dispute turned nasty after the accused scuffled with the victim and later escaped the spot.
