Shahpura police have booked a Disc Jockey (DJ) for sexually assaulting a girl at Palash Parisar. The victim was sexually assaulted in the name of marrying her. According to the police, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused Mayank Sharma of threatening and sexual assault for the past three years. The accused used to work as DJ at C 21 Mall at Hoshangabad road. The victim works as event manager and told that she met with the accused in an event and later developed relationship with the accused. SHO Shahpura police Ashish Dhurve said that the two used to live in Palash Parisar and have told different information regarding their relationship and were living together for the past three years. Search for the accused has been intensified and police team has been formed to investigate into the matter. The accused is a resident of Neelbad while the victim is a resident of Kotra Sultanabad area but for the past three years they moved in a rented apartment and have spread information that they were married while they have told their neighbours that they are engaged and would marry soon. After the case was registered the accused went absconding and is still at large. The police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Victim in her complaint stated that she was living with the accused in live-in relationship for the past two years. The accused assured her that he would marry her but later refused and threatened her of life.
