The dispute between two Cabinet ministers came to the fore in the State Assembly during the question hour on Wednesday. When Speaker Ishwardas Rohani called the name of Congress legislator Pachilal Medha, he was not present in the House. He had raised question seeking information regarding outcome of the probe in the social security and old-age pension scams.
His question was selected in the starred category. The question was apparently asked to corner Commerce and Industry Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. The alleged scams had taken place in Indore, when Vijayvargiya was Mayor of Indore.
When Medha was found missing, Cooperatives Minister Gopal Bhargava rose to his feet and said he could read the question. This remark surprised Vijayvargiya and other ministers present in the House.
However, soon after the question hour concluded, Rohani left the dais and Vijayvargiya and Bhargava also followed him.
Sources claim that in the chamber of Rohani, the Commerce and Industry Minister strongly registered his protest against Bhargava. later, they also had a long meeting in a separate room and it continued for over half an hour.
