Discontent surfaces in SP State unit

SR

Discontent in Madhya Pradesh unit of the Samajwadi Party has surfaced once again, this time the dissidents have struck under the cover of Raja Bhaiya episode in the neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.

Former Bhopal District (city) Samajwadi President Syed Mujaddid Hasan in a statement here on Wednesday said, “We welcome the party decision to oust Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias ‘Raja Bhaiya’ from the UP cabinet after his name appeared in the DSP Zia-ul-Haque murder case. We demand from the party leadership to take similar action against the persons with image similar to that of ‘Raja Bhaiya.”

Hasan hitting out at the SP State president Gauri Singh Yadav further said that the state unit of the party is hijacked by the musclemen. Yadav is a history sheeter of 70s from Vidisha, he was Gauri Shankar Yadav there but after his externment from there he reached Sagar and became Gauri Singh Yadav. Dozens of cases were registered against him during seventies in the police stations of Vidisha, Ganjbasoda and Nariyawali. Party workers get embarrassed on several occasions because of a history sheeter being their state president, he added.

He said Yadav was a hardcore criminal and was involved in broad day light murder of Rajkumar Punjabi and chopped off the hands of Shivnarayan Tiwari, these are a just small example of this criminal who is now the state president of the party that follows socialist principles. He is also ruining the party’s image here as he of and then misbehaves with the party workers and due to his anti Muslim stance is also sabotaging the Yadav - Muslim unity of the party, he added.

He said that State president is showing doors to the old loyal party workers and is admitting persons with criminal background causing image loss of party. Such person and his associates with criminal background should immediately be ousted and a person with clean image should be made president so that party could go in Assembly election scheduled in year end with high head, he added.
