Maximum use of Information Technology (IT) is being ensured for Simhastha at Ujjain this year. Arrangements have been made to trace the location of any person in the Mela area from electric pole.
Numbers have been inscribed on electricity poles erected by Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company at Simhastha Mela area. Every pole has been given a unique number. location of every pole with its number has been uploaded on Geographical Information System (GIS).
If anyone wishes to meet his acquaintance in Mela area, he or she would seek location of acquaintance on his mobile number. The acquaintance would quote the number of the police near which he or she would be standing. You will easily trance location of acquaintance through GIS map on your mobile.
During Simhastha, 990 swimmers of Home Guard will be deployed on ghats of Kshipra river. Besides, services of 1100 private swimmers will also be availed. Home Guard's 40 motorboats will also be deployed.
Services of 10 motorboats each of National Disaster Management Institute and State Disaster Management Institute will also be available.
Crores of devotees will visit Ujjain during Simhastha. Keeping this in view, public toilets in Mela area and lavatories in clusters are being constructed. Construction of about 34 thousand toilets has been completed. Separate toilets are being constructed for males and females. Arrangements of ramp have also been made. Water will be available round the clock at these places.
