Journalism is a mission, and it’s evident in the fact that during the  freedom struggle, journalism was the biggest medium to awaken the spirit of patriotism in the people, thus making a special contribution in the freedom struggle. In the current environment also, journalism is playing its important role in nation building.

Media is proving to be helpful in assisting the police to work positively and increase their courage.

These were among some of the views expressed by Gwalior Range DIG Amit Sanghi while addressing the citizens at the International Center of Media Excellence (ICOME) located at Padav, Gwalior.

The meeting was specially organised to create awareness  on the topic of cyber fraud and ways to avoid it. DIG Sanghi said that the simplest and best way to avoid cyber fraud is awareness because whatever happens in cyber fraud depends on the individual. Till the time he or she does not share the bank details or OTP with anyone, they cannot become a victim of cyber criminals. He added that if one shares the information knowingly or  unknowingly, then he or she can become a  victim. Therefore, it becomes necessary to be aware, be alert and inform the police in time.

Sanghi also shared his experience of service in Gwalior as SP and opined that Gwalior is a great place to work as the public here is always alert and cooperative. He further praised the City of Music and said that art has always had a great influence here.

Earlier, the director of the center Dr. Keshav Pandey honored him by presenting shawl, coconut and memento on behalf of the organization. During this, officials and intellectuals associated with various social, educational, sports, music, journalism and other organizations welcomed him with garlands and felicitated him. The program was conducted by Mahesh Mudgal and Deepak Tomar expressed gratitude.
