The Courtyard by Marriott, Bhopal celebrated their 'Spirit to Serve' by inviting disabled children from Arushi, an NGO for the impaired on the occasion of Independence Day celebration week.

Keeping up to the iconic Marriott heritage, the Courtyard by Marriott invited 15 impaired children from Arushi to celebrate Independence Day. The excited children were shown around the property, and then escorted to the bright and colourful cafeteria.

The associates from the hotel organised fun activities like painting competitions, singing and dancing with prizes.

The children enjoyed their day by the pool, in the bakery where they were treated to delicious chocolates by the Head Pastry Chef Mangesh. The highlight of their day was the cafeteria, where they savored the delicious snacks and soft beverages from Éclair – The Bake Shop.

Speaking on the occasion, Roberta Figueiredo, HR Manager, Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal, said, “The 'Spirit to Serve' is a way of us thanking the community respectively for being a great support and strength. It is a great feeling to give back and provide a helping hand to society in whatever way we can. We are looking at building a long-term relationship with Arushi, the NGO, and hope to make a positive impact in the lives of these young children through all our initiatives.”

Arushi is a Bhopal-based not-for-profit organization working with and for people with disabilities and issues related to them.

The 'Spirit to Serve' the community is demonstrated everyday through the support of local, national, and international initiatives and programs. Serving the community is an important part of doing business ‘the Marriott Way’.
