Dept of Dietetics, AIIMS Bhopal celebrated Dietetics day 10 th January 2023 on the theme – Mighty Millets & 3 As (Availability, Accessibility and Affordability) for sustainable development. The chief guest of the program Prof (Dr) Ajai Singh, Executive Director and CEO while addressing the audience emphasized the importance of Millets, how people have forgotten this traditional valuable crop and its benefit and the need to return to the roots to acquire good health.
He also accentuated the requirement to take more initiative to raise the awareness amongst the community regarding millets and its products. Executive Director also released an Informative brochure on “Millets – The super food”.
After this program he visited an Exhibition on “Millets – The Super Food” organised on this occasion. He appreciated the sincere efforts of dietetics department.
The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Amit Agrawal, Faculty I/C and Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mayank Dixit, DMS who attended the program as the guest of honor. The program organiser Bhavna Aharwar, Senior Dietician informed that a Poster competition – Health benefits of Millets and Nukkad natak.
