Expressing anguish over the elimination of Technical Assistants providing assistance to the employees of the Mukhya Mantri Gram Samparak Sadak Yojana (MMGSSY) under Rural Panchayat department a dharna would be staged at Board Office Square on Monday by MP Contact Employees Officers Federation. The protest will be led by the federation State president Ramesh Rathore.
Secretary Rural Panchayat Department sent a letter to the headquarters of Rural Engineering Services near Vindhyachal stating that the work of MMGSSY will be carried with the budget under State Plan Head in spite of MNREGA. It was no where mentioned in the letter that the technical assistance provided to the employees working on MMGSY will be washed off.
But Rural Engineering Services Chief Engineer MM Gupta without going through the letter properly sent a letter to the zonal executive officers to eliminate the technical assistants. But the order should have been that, in spite of elimination of the assistants and assistance provided, it should have come under the state plan head. This has created a problem for the Technical Assistants who have been working with full devotion for past five years in MMGSSY. Demanding the provision of technical assistance back, dharna will be staged.
