Depressed over prolonged illness, a 20-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from a tree at Mundalachand village under Berasia police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the father of the deceased Rajendra Singh found him hanging and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. A suicide note claiming frustration due to prolonged illness forced the deceased to end the life was recovered.
Deceased was BSc first year student from Berasia Government College and was suffering from severe pain in his stomach for the past two years and was undergoing treatment for the same but failed to get relief from the pain.
After the preliminary investigation police sent the body for the post mortem and registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
