Dengue, chikungunya cases flood Gwalior hospitals

PNS

These days’ conditions of patients have become horrible in JA hospital and in Morar civil hospital. Hospitals have continuously receiving the Dengue, Chikungunya and viral fever patients. Hospitals are unable to provide the bed to the patients and some of the patients are lying on the floor of gallery and under the bed. Patients are in large numbers that clearly reflects the mismanagement of hospitals. Some of the patients have brought the quilt, bed sheets and blankets from their home. In the city due to VIP movements doctors have ignored the patients and performed their duty towards VIPs. Doctor DK Sharma has deployed in Intensive Care Unit of Morar hospital and Dr MK Saxena and Dr SK Shrivastava of Morar District hospital have given the charge to attend the VIPs. In Morar Civil hospital OPD has reached to 1100 and only one doctor has attended the patients.

In JA hospital OPD has reached to 2200 patients and Medicine department can provide 238 beds but daily 350 patients are getting admitted. In Gwalior 94dengue cases have been received out of which nine from Morena, one each from Shivpuri, Bhind, Datia, Chhatarpur and Rajasthan. Patients are increasing day by day in JA hospital due to which it reflects the mismanagement of hospital. Relatives of patients hold the bottle of glucose and due to overcrowded patients are lying on the floor or under the bed.

Dr JS Sikarwar JA hospital said that patients have increased suddenly and we have called the floor mattress and instructions have been given to the staff accordingly. If the staff members do not put the floor mattress then the concern employee will face the action.
