Crime branch seized 9.930 kg of drugs and arrested four persons including a woman,the total cost of which drugs seized is over Rs 5 crore; illegal transport was from Nepal to Mumbai via Bhopal and was caught by Bhopal Crime Branch.
The accused used to bring drugs from Nepal at cheap price and used to earn huge profits by supplying it in Mumbai. The agent of the drug supplier was also caught along with the drugs. The search for Nepalese supplier has been intensified.
Acting on a tip off regarding a woman and a man sitting in a passenger auto have drugs, based on information two were detained from Rani Kamalapati railway station around 8 am who were carrying massive amount of drugs.
The man was identified Shahid (44) Andheri West Mumbai and woman Zulekha (48) Andheri West Mumbai.
In the action Shahid's bag was searched, three packets were found while from Julekha's bag five packets were found, 1.480 kg of illegal drug was confiscated from the possession of accused Zulekha and from Wahid 1.485 kg of narcotic drugs was confiscated. A total of 2.965 kg of narcotic charas was confiscated from both the accused.
Earlier on July 7 police 265 grams of drug was seized from the possession of accused Bablu alias Shahid in the said case and 6.700 kg of illegal narcotic substance was seized from the possession of accused Veer Bahadur Giri on July 13. From the four smugglers, the police confiscated a total of 9.930 kg drugs.
All the accused are originally from Kanpur UP. and are from Nepal, who already knew each other, the husband of the accused woman used to smuggle drugs with whom the woman had started working after the death of her husband, living in Mumbai with her brother-in-law.
The formed a drug dealing -charas gang, a broker of drug smuggling Shahid alias Bablu lived in Bhopal and used to transport charas coming from Nepal to Mumbai through Mumbai and used to earn profit of lakhs of rupees in Mumbai by buying it at cheap prices from Nepal.
This work of smuggling drugs was going on for a long time. From Nepali smuggler, drugs to reach through Bablu alias Shahid. Nepalese smuggler was supplied charas to Bablu by Veer Bahadur Giri to Kanpur and sometimes to Bhopal.
