Crime branch Bhopal nabbed a notorious absconding drug smuggler having a reward of Rs 8000 accused remained absconding for 2 years in the crimes registered by Crime Branch and Gautam Nagar police.
Accused was absconding in 3 crimes of Bhopal for over 25 months, all three cases are related to drug smuggling.
In one case 61 kg of ganja, in another 26 kg of ganja, in the third about 1.150 kg of charas involved in smuggling.
Information was received about the absconding accused Birma Sankat is standing in front of Sadhuvaswani College in Bairagarh, to confirm a police team reached the place and caught the accused. He told that about 1 year ago, 2 kg of charas was bought from Orissa and out of which about 1 kg of charas was sold to Maya Kubandia and Ravi alias Sonu Lodhi, who were caught by the crime branch.
His rented house was searched and 1.150 kg of illegal drug charas was confiscated from the possession of the accused.
The accused was booked under NDPS act by Crime branch Bhopal in three cases, under excise act and NDPS by Talaiya police in four cases and under NDPS Act by Gautam Nagar police.
