Ashoka Garden police have booked an auto-rickshaw driver for captivating and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on Monday.
The accused is absconding and search has been started, said police.
Police said that the accused Javed Khan took the victim to an abandoned house and sexually assaulted her and escaped the spot.
According to the police the victim is a resident of Aishbagh area and used to visit a Madrasa in Bajaria area for studies.
The accused used to drop her at Madarsa when she would meet her on her way to Madrasa after which she became acquainted with the accused.
On Monday when the accused met her, he offered to drop her but after the victim boarded the auto rickshaw after which she was taken to an abandoned house where she was sexually assaulted by the accused.
The victim managed to return and informed her father and uncle and a complaint was lodged with the police.
Initially the complaint was lodged with the Aishbagh police and a zero FIR was registered and later the case was transferred to Ashoka Garden police as the crime was committed in Industrial area which is under Ashoka garden police station area.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered the case under section 376,363 of IPC and 5 and 6 of POCSO act against the accused on Tuesday evening and have started search for the accused.
Victim lives with her father and uncle while her mother died few years ago.
