A coordination review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mrs. Shobhana Bandopadhyaya, General Manager of Western Central Railway. The meeting was attended by senior officials including Additional General Manager Pramod Kumar Khatri, Chief Safety Officer Praveen Khorana, Chief Mechanical Engineer M Vijay Kumar, Chief Signal and Telecom Engineer Eknath Mohkar, Chief Operations Manager Gurinder Mohan Singh, Chief Commercial Manager Kushal Singh, Chief Engineer Ashutosh, Principal Financial Advisor Ms. Manjeet Kaur, Chief Personnel Officer SD Patidar, Chief Electrical Engineer Mukesh, Chief Materials Manager Manoj Kumar Gupta, Chief Safety Commissioner Rajeev Kumar Yadav, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) MS Hashmi, along with other heads of key departments at the headquarters. Additionally, the Divisional Railway Managers of Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota joined the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting focused on discussions regarding safety, punctuality, and the safe operation of trains. Topics such as the review of infrastructure works, redevelopment of AMRIT stations, railway assistance, and revenue growth from freight were also extensively discussed.
The General Manager emphasized the ongoing railway projects and other infrastructural developments in Western Central Railway. A detailed discussion was held on capital expenditure planning, project identification, implementation, and progress.
Bandopadhyaya stated that safety remains the top priority for Western Central Railway. She directed that the safety protocols and guidelines set by the Railway Board should be followed meticulously. She also emphasized the need for planned improvements in safety measures and the maintenance standards for railway tracks and welds. Additionally, the review included ensuring compliance with safety guidelines for the monsoon season.
