Cong's plan to uproot BJP is 'Mungerilal ke sapne', says MP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Vice-President and parliamentarian Raghunandan Sharma termed the Congress party’s plan to uproot BJP Government in the State by formulating a 100 day agenda as “mungerilal ke sapne”.

“The people had already given the verdict over Congress’ inactiveness and greed in the elections of 2003 and 2008. The party is completely rootless and in such a situation, the claim that it can uproot Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is baseless,” Sharma said, adding that the work of choosing and removing a Government belongs to the people and not any political party.

He claimed that the seven and half crore people of Madhya Pradesh have brought BJP to power in the State for its policies and intentions. “On the contrary, the Congress was ousted by the people in 2003 elections. The people confirmed their choice in 2008 by entrusting power to BJP. The party will again form the Government in coming legislative elections in November,” he said.

He said that under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the BJP has brought relief for common people and farmers by initiating several welfare schemes in the State.

“The Government has given the gift of Annapoorna Scheme to the poor people. Villages are being supplied round the clock electricity. The youth have been provided with skill training and self-employment guarantee scheme. Farmers are being provided a bonus of `150 per quintal wheat and loan on zero per cent interest. Elderly people have been given the gift of Mukhyamantri Teerthdarshan scheme,” he stated.
