To create awareness among the people, Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress would take out ‘Jan Jagriti Padyatra’ from Mhow in Indore district and it would conclude at Bhopal.

Nation Youth Congress Secretary and in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Keshavchand Yadav and MP Youth Congress president Kunal Choudhary said in a joint statement that the 14-day padyatra would commence on February 21 and conclude on March 6.

They informed that Mhow is the birth place of Bhimrao Ambedkar and thus this venue has been selected for commencing the padyatra. All the party workers and office-bearers of Madhya Pradesh Congress along with few senior leaders would participate in it. In the 14-day padyatra, the leaders and workers would cover nearly 290 kilometers.

It would cover 10 assembly segments of major parliamentary areas such as Indore, Dewas, Khandwa, Vidisha and Bhopal. Both the leaders further said that their motive is to create awareness among people about ruling party’s corruption in Madhya Pradesh.

During the yatra, people would be informed about the recent infamous scams such as Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, mining scam, corruption in mid-day meal, foul play in the recruitment in Police department, corruption in Social security pension etc. The fund released under several schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Food Security Act etc by the Central Government are not fairly being used by State government, they alleged.

They stated that on the contrary, the State Government is accusing Central Government of meting out step-motherly treatment towards Madhya Pradesh.

However, the reality is totally different. Central government’s budget to the State is being used somewhere else as Centre is determined towards the development of all the States and it sends more than MP Government demands. Surprisingly, both the leaders alleged that the State Government in several heads has not submitted the fund utilization certificates.
