PNS

On the first anniversary of demonetisation, the Congress observed black day throughout the country. In Gwalior, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jyodiraditya Scindia launched a scathing attack on the Central Government for the misery that has been heaped on the poor and middle class due to demonetization.

Scindia, addressing a huge gathering at Maharaja Bada attacked the Centre and State governments for the mismanagement and deteriorating law and order situation. He asked the Union Government to take stock of the unemployment percentage before boasting and bragging about the advantages of demonetization.

Today the youth are going from pillar to post in search of employment and the BJP leaders are singing praises of Modi. The law and order situation in the state is such that a young girl who was molested by a gang of hooligans has to go from police station to police station to register a complaint, but instead of recording her statements the police are making fun of the victim, he added.

In the morning Scindia reached Gwalior by Shatabdi Express. A large number of people had gathered at the railway station to welcome him. People thronged the road leading to Jai Vilas palace, shouting slogans against the centre Government.

At Maharaj Bada, Scindia wondered what type of development the Centre government was talking about while the youth have no jobs; the business community is struggling to keep up their trade and the farmers are committing suicide. He said that only an insensitive and insane person will call this development. The GDP has gone down drastically, the growth rate is decreasing alarmingly and the BJP leaders are celebrating.
