Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan has alleged that the Congress party due to its negative role pushed the people of the country on the backstage.Chouhan while addressing a party meeting in Vidisha on Monday said, "The people of state appreciated the development oriented initiatives of the BJP and state government and provided mandate to us time and again in parliamentary, assembly and civic body's elections."
Chouhan further said that the country is having BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Every scheme of the Vidisha Municipality would get state government and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's encouragement and patronage, he added. He said that before 2003 there was Congress government in the state for ten years then there was power shortage in the state.
Towns and villages used to remain under darkness and the identity of roads was in pits. The BJP after coming to power constructed 95, 000 kilometers of roads and the power production also increased by three folds under our rule. Power cuts have become history, villages are getting round the clock power and efforts are on to provide electricity to every field, he added.
He said that the development of Vidisha is on the radar of chief minister and state government and it would be developed as the super smart city of the state. The identity of MP is now that of developing state as the blot of BIMARU tag has been washed by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The growth rate of the state has crossed ten digit mark, agricultural growth rate is 24 per cent that is the highest by any state in the country, he added.
The senior BJP parliamentarian said that the State Government is committed to construct house for every homeless person of the State in the coming five years.
