The MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam that was refreshed by Congress few days ago, took a new turn on Thursday as former leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh questioned role of Governor Ram Naresh Yadav.
Vice-president of State Congress Rameshwar Neekhra has also advocated the allegations of Singh.Congress legislator and former leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh, while talking to mediapersons here, said that there is nexus between the State Government and the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
To substantiate his allegations, Singh stated that this is evident with the fact that the Congress made several complaints in past tenure of the State Government, but no action has been taken from the Raj Bhawan. He further alleged that the pact between the Governor and the State Government had come to light, when Singh, being Opposition leader had brought no confidence motion against the Government in last tenure of the Government.
“We have taken several complaints of the Government in different issues to the Governor time-to-time, but no action has been taken. Had the Governor any morality, he would have tendered resignation like others after the change of Government at Centre,” he said, adding that if he were Governor of any State and his OSD was named in any scam, he would have resigned from the post.
State vice-president of the Congress party Rameshwar Neekhra said that raising fingers over the functioning of the Governor House was natural after Governor’s OSD has been named in the MPPEB scam. He also stated that he would have resigned in such a situation, if he were the Governor. However, he claimed that it is up to the morality of the Governor whether he would step down or not.
