Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Wednesday accused the Congress for supporting separatists and said that where there is Gupkar or Afzal, you will find Congress party or Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress party had opposed BJP Government’s proposed bill on ‘love-jihad’ saying the ruling party was just trying to implement it’s hidden agenda on the pretext of women safety. Different sections of Muslim community also flayed the proposed bill.

“Let them clarify first whether they are against the bill or support it,” Mishra told the media persons in Bhopal on Wednesday on being asked about Congress party objections on the proposed bill.

He went on to claim that Congress party was waning as it was persistently indulging in appeasement politics and still they are not realising this.

It is Congress party that is contesting polls in Jammu and Kashmir with Gupkar alliance, which comprises anti-national forces, added Mishra, saying, “Where there are talks of divisive politics and against the nation, you will find Congress party or Rahul Gandhi.”

It was Rahul Gandhi who was first to meet those who were raising slogans in favour of terror accused Afzal Guru, claimed the minister who had on Tuesday announced to bring in a law on freedom of religion in winter session of assembly in MP to curb menace of love jihad.Meanwhile, opposition continued against the proposed legislation.

The propaganda on the pretext of love jihad must stop, said Haji Mohd Haroon, the head of Jamiat Ulema Hind in MP. “Love is a different thing altogether, anyone can fall in love anyone and this has nothing to do with jihad,” claimed the Muslim clergy. It’s an attempt to spew venom of a kind in society and we strongly condemn it, he added saying such a legislation will be against the constitution. He also clarified that Jihad means making attempts for a good cause and removing the bad.
