The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that the appeasement policy of the Congress has hurt the integrity of the country.
Holding the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre responsible for violence in Assam and North- East States, BJP Madhya Pradesh president Narendra Singh Tomar in a statement here on Saturday said, “The saturnalia of violence in whole of the North-East and Assam is the result of the Congress party’s improvidence and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Central Government are solely responsible for that.”
Tomar further said that the Congress always indulges in vote-bank politics, character assassination and violence during the elections.
The grand old party’s sickening psyche is exposed through its action of vitiating country’s atmosphere communally. This is the Congress party’s political bankruptcy, he added.
Terming the Union law Minister Kapil Sibal’s statement as unfortunate and laughable the BJP State president said the country is paying the price for the patronage provided to the Bangladeshi infiltrators who were led inside by the Congress. The integrity of the country is marred and the security has been weakened.
Sibal should should look at his own Government’s fault before blaming others for Assam violence, he added.
He said that the Supreme Court has also termed the Bangladeshi infiltration dangerous and equated it with foreign invasion but the Congress promoted it in greed of votes. They took support of separatists to form Government in Assam and we are facing the repercussions of there decision in terms of violence now, he added.
