Confidence of Tribals in self-reliance

GS Wadhwa

In the year of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15th November 2021, in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, many new and unique schemes were showered in Bhopal for the tribal community of Madhya Pradesh.

The gift of these schemes and the respect received in the Mahasammelan has instilled the confidence of self-reliance in the entire tribal society. At the same time, they are also feeling proud of themselves.

This was probably the first time, when not only in the state but for the first time in the country, lakhs of tribal people gathered together in the Bhopal and got a lot of respect. The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, playing the role of guardian for all the tribal brothers and sisters, also made proper arrangements for their travel, accommodation and food.

On the next day of Janjatiya Gourav Diwas, the Chief Minister along with 700 tribal artists made them happy by having refreshments at the Chief Minister's residence.

There was no delay in implementing the comprehensive action plan prepared to connect the tribal community with population of 1.5 crore in the state with the mainstream of the society. The "Ration Aapke Gram" scheme started by Prime Minister Modi was launched on Monday. Exactly 24 hours later, Chief Minister Chouhan started the implementation of the scheme by flagging off the vehicles for the tribal development blocks. Now this class will not have to wander from one place to the other to get the ration and their time will also be saved.

Prime Minister Modi also launched Madhya Pradesh State Sickle Cell Mission on Janjatiya Gourav Diwas. Mission activities have also been started immediately.

A woman beneficiary was given an investigation report card under the mission at the hands of the Prime Minister. With this, the tribals will get rid of genetic diseases like sickle cell and their health will be better.

Following the announcement of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan on Janjatiya Gourav Diwas, the next day, through joint/community forest management committees, the policy of tree plantation using CSR/CER and non-government funds was approved.

It is proved here that the Chief Minister is not allowing any delay in completing the measures initiated by him for the upliftment of tribal society.
