Mayor Alok Sharma has asked the officials to complete the development works and collect the revenue s within specified time limit. He was reviewing the works in Zone 1,2 and 3 on Wednesday.
Sharma said that action should be taken against the contractors, who are awarded with work orders and still the works have not be started or works continue with sluggish pace and hampering the development of the city. He suggested that those contractors who have not started the work and those who are having pending works for long should be black-listed and a penalty should be imposed on them for hampering the works of the BMC.
Bairagarh region which comes under zone 1 was reeling under pressure for more water and the same issue was raised by the corporators of the zone after which the water which was 2.5 MGD was raised to 3 MGD by Sharma and for making arrangements of the increased water supply Rs 5 crore have been proposed which would make the water supply is Sant Hirdaram Nagar adequate.
The restoration and pipeline laying work of Narmada water supply should be completed at the earliest. The pending works have to be completed by the concerned contractor and official responsible for the monitoring of the work should check the work for proper completion. library facilities in wards should be developed and office furniture for all the wards offices should be made available. Arrangements should be made proper at Singarcholi crematorium.
