Comforting levels of weather conditions would change in the next 24 hours as state capital and state would witness thundery activities, light showers and foggy conditions according to forecast of Met department.
With clouding and cold winds in the early morning hours cold conditions were witnessed in the city and later weather conditions turned normal during the day. The evening was witnessed with cold conditions.
The day temperatures recorded dip on Monday after the wind direction was northerly and further clouding helped the dip in the day temperature.
Under the changed weather conditions light showers and thundery activities are likely to occur in Rewa and Shahdol divisions, Raisen, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Indore, Tikamgarh, Chattarpur and Panna districts in the next 24 hours.
In the next 24 hours foggy conditions are likely to occur in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Panna districts.
Clouding maintained the lower temperatures by restricting sunrays which prevented temperature from rising high. Moisture incursion from Arabian Sea had induced thundery activities and light showers in the past 2-3 days.
City recorded day temperature at 26 degree Celsius and night temperature at 12.7 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius above the normal temperature.
Among the major cities Gwalior recorded night temperature 7 degree Celsius above the normal temperature at 15.2 degree Celsius while Jabalpur recorded night temperature 4 degree Celsius above the normal temperature at 15.8 degree Celsius.
Indore recorded day temperature at 25.5 degree Celsius which was 3 degree Celsius below the normal temperature while Gwalior and Jabalpur recorded day temperature at normal temperature at 24.5 and 27 degree Celsius respectively.
Day temperatures decreased significantly at few places while several places recorded slight dip in day temperature on Monday. Ujjain and Mandla recorded the lowest night temperature at 8 degree Celsius on Sunday.
According to the forecast the day temperature and night temperature would be witnessed around 26 and 10 degree Celsius.
