The group exhibition ‘Colour Palette’ was a continuum of creativity that had a grand closure here on Wednesday. The painting exhibition entitled ‘Colour Pallet’ was organised at Swaraj Vithika (Swaraj Art Gallery), Ravindra Bhawan premises.
Organised by Kalachar Artists Welfare Society, the exhibition displayed a number of paintings created by children from 6 to 16 years. As many as 14 child artists put up their creative pieces at the exhibition before the Bhopalites. Here on Wednesday, marking the conclusion of the three-day exhibition, the participants shared their experiences witch each other and the audience. It is to be noted that the children prepared their art pieces during a two month workshop organised at Jawahar Bal Bhavan. The workshop was conducted by an eminent artist of the city Shahbano Khan. During the interaction session, the children said that the two month workshop was a great experience for them. It was a wonderful time to learn different art forms and creating them over the canvas was a lot of fun. While interacting with the Bhopalites children also shared their contentment of having a sturdy platform to showcase their creativity. Shahbani Khan said, “Most of the time it is seen that child artists do not get any kind of platform to display their creativity. At colour palette we provided them a place where they can display their creative talent.” She further said, “It was challenging for me to teach children because this time I opted for different arts like Warli painting, Gond painting, landscape, and other forms. But, during the workshop event I learned something from these children and it was great experience for me as well.” While praising the Artist Welfare Society, Shahbano said that the institution has given them a big platform which is really encouraging for the children.
