The District Collector P Narhari on Thursday asked Oxford Public School to allow a student to study in the school which the school management claimed that his parents did not deposit school fees.
The directive came after a complaint from guardian that his child were not allowed to study and even prohibited from hiding school bus on charges that they did not deposit full fees of the school.
The father of the student claimed he had deposited full fees, however, the school management was not willing to accept it. The father had filed a complaint in this regard with collector P Narhari against irresponsible attitude of the school. The collector ordered the school management to open the school and let the student study until the decision was taken. The Collector also clearly ordered that the student should not be harassed in any way. Aditya Sharma, a Class V student of the school, said the school authorities had informed him that his fees were not deposited. After that his father showed a receipt of `11,320 as the second installment of the fees. At this the school management said that his first installment was not deposited and refused to hear all the arguments of guardian. The president All India Parents Association Sudheer Sapra said that the act of the Oxford Public School is a corporal punishment. The school should be punished in this case.
