Marking the 98th birth anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya on Wednesday, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal is organising special lecture of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The title of the lecture being organised on the occasion of 50th anniversary of the philosophy of Ekatm Manavvaad (integral humanism), would be ‘Ekatm Manav Darshan Aur Media Ki Bhumika’ (philosophy of integral humanism and role of media). The function is being organised on the university campus at MP Nagar in Bhopal at 3pm.
The Chief Guest and the keynote speaker of the function would be Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who is also the chairman of the General Council of the university. Public Relations Minister of the state, Rajendra Shukla would be special invitee on the occasion while Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Brij Kishore Kuthiala would preside over the function. A photo exhibition of university’s growth would also be organised on the occasion which would present the journey of the university since its year of establishment, 1990.
During his visit to the journalism university, chief minister would also take stock of New Media Technology and Computer Application departments, Electronic Media laboratory and the library. The two books published by the university, ‘Electronic Media’ and ‘Bharatiya Janjati Samaj: Samvaad Paramparayein Evam Sanskritik Aasthayein’ would also be released on the occasion.
Under the textbook writing project, the writing work of 18 books has been started. Seven books have been published so far under this initiative and recently published two books would be released during this function. Besides, the quarterly house Journal of the university, ‘MCU Samachar’ would also be released.
