CM wrote script for development in MP: Min

Narottam Mishra

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has written a new script for development in Madhya Pradesh. To create this script, he had worked endlessly. Coming out of the streets of a small village in Sehore district to enter the public sector and then fulfilling the responsibility of the party organisation by becoming the head of the state, Chouhan has played an active role. He has taken steps for the progress of every strata of the society. This is precisely the reason why he has carved a niche among all Chief Ministers in the country.

From handling the responsibility of the State as the Chief Minister, Chouhan has ensured welfare of all through his consistent efforts. Several occasions came when the State’s farmers had to suffer the onslaught of excess rains, flood and mishaps. The promptness with which the Chief Minister comes to the rescue of the citizens of the State is incredible.  Chouhan felt the pain and agony of the people when the ashrams and residences in Ujjain were destroyed in the devastating storm that shook Ujjain last year during Simhastha. Despite being at the other end of the state, he rushed to Ujjain after travelling for 15-20 hours by road.

Arrangements were made and people were relieved. Similar was the case during the Kanpur rail mishap. He conducted urgent meeting of senior officials and issued instructions for provision of relief work.

So far MP has bagged the Krishi Karman Award four times. A special reason

behind this is the developed irrigation facilities in Madhya Pradesh. The State government is constantly working for the all round development of farmers, poor and all classes of the society. Earlier, there was only 7.5 lakh hectare irrigation facility in the state and now, it has increased to 40 lakh hectare. The irrigation capacity is expected to increase to

60 lakh hectare in the next seven years.  In the coming three years Rs 25,000 crore will be invested for irrigation projects.

It is the capability of the Chief Minister that he has successfully developed feelings for the State in every person’s heart. Madhya Pradesh has its own song and now it has its own recognition.
